The Majestic Nightmare exploded in size this year. The Dark Castle of Majestic came out of the dark mist to reek havoc once more.
Upon entering the castle you went through the foyer of portraits that changed right before your eyes. From there you walked into
Vlad's Chamber. Here guests could sit back by the fire, enjoy some tunes from the pipe organ, and maybe have something for dinner.
Guests were then thrown into the laboratory of the castle. Here, ghastly experiments were in progress as the doctor invites you to be
his new creation. If anyone made it past our demented doctor they then had to make their way through the catacombs of an ancient
Egyptian pharaoh. Be ready to go psycho after that because the castle was kind enough to open up their very own asylum to the public, which was
nestled in the basement. Here one could witness Ward 13 or cell block 7.
"We are done" said the few guests that made it through... Not yet! Guests exited the castle through an old whole that had worn
through the great rock walls. A local circus named Carn-E-vil decided to set up tent right behind the Castle of Majestic. But before you made it
to the entrance of the circus tent you had to watch out for all the creatures that roamed the woods at night. Even a UFO had
crashed into the woods and the mutant creatures not from this world prowled the dark woods.
Finally, out of the wilderness clowns greeted you with laughter.
A fun room, a circus mirror hallway, and a snake maze full of 3-D faces were the beginning oddities of the show. From there you were thrown into
the playroom the held tons of "Dolls from the Dead" that just couldn't wait to play. Once playtime was over the finale of Carn-E-vil was to begin.
Screaming trespassers had to hurry their way through a blood maze that had several clowns ready to add your blood to the walls of the tent.
"Finally we are done!" The ghouls at the castle figured they couldn't let the clowns have the last laugh. Trails through a voodoo forest lead guests
into the toxic waste storage from the haunt. If you survived the fumes the spider infested hallway was sure to claim some more victims. Rounding the
bend the old western saloon was open. You would not want to get in a bar fight here... the regulars are already dead! Finally, pirates from the
Majestic Lagoon were the last thing you saw before you exited the old Castle of Majestic.
The crowds were non-stop and kept the clowns and creatues of the Majestic Nightmare busy for hours!

This was the last year for the Majestic Nightmare... the castle finally collapsed because of the old, weathered rock foundation. The cemetery was
taken out buy a mud slide and the old circus disappeared. There are reports, however, that the ghosts that lurked the Majestic Nightmare
have found a new home. That new home is the old school house in Dent, Ohio. It has been called by locals as The Haunted House.
Thanks to all the victims that made The Majestic Nightmare a true killer. It will live in the nightmares as one of the largest yard haunts
ever constructed.
